Hydrotherapy for dogs refers to a form of therapy in which dogs exercise or swim in a special pool of water under the supervision of a therapist. The buoyant force of the water is used to relieve and at the same time strengthen the dog's joints and muscles. Hydrotherapy is often used as a complementary treatment for musculoskeletal conditions, after surgery, or to support weight loss.
